Our Mission

The primary aim of this site is to provide musicians and community members access to a register of music performers, facilitators, production services and venues in Armidale.

Musicians and venues are encouraged to share what’s happening in the Armidale and wider New England region via our Facebook page.

When The Armidale Club burned down in 2016 Armidale musicians and audiences lost an important venue for live music. Armidale has long had a strong live music culture. The Musicians of Armidale (MOA) is an incorporated community organisation devoted to increasing live music opportunities for musicians and performers, no matter what type of music they are into.

MOA has incorporated as a community organisation and has taken out public liability insurance to cover members at events organised by us. This means we can put on live music events at a range of venues including outdoor and public halls. We can pay members who provide services at these events (such as performers and PA operators).

In the future we have the opportunity to raise money through grants or fundraising for specific projects or activities such as festivals and events, purchasing a PA or running training or workshops for members.

MOA has a constitution and is managed by a voluntary committee. Please email us if you are interested in joining the committee or would like to attend our meetings, All ideas/suggestions about future directions of the MOA and how we can support our musicians are welcome.
